To produce Benu Remix, woollen yarns are recycled from left over fabrics from a top end Italian woollen fashion manufacturer (these would otherwise have gone to waste). The material is sorted by colours, shredded, carded and re-spun. The energy-intensive process of dyeing is eliminated completely, greatly reducing the use of energy, water and chemicals, thereby contributing to an ecologically improved environment. The word Benu describes a Fischbacher fabric that is recycled, sustainable and using ecologically sound production processes.
