Yei 4774
by Casamance

In Navajo legent, the Yei are divinities who mediate between humans and the spirits. They have inspired Amerindian art, in particular woven rugs in a multitude of colors. "Yei" is a cut yarn jacquard made using decorative bouclé yarns. It looks to have been overembroidered giving it an artisanal feel.
